Pakistan, a small country in South Asia officially known as the Islamic Republic of Pakistan gained its independence on 14th August 1947 from the shackles of the British. Previously Pakistan and India were the same country but the British just before ending the rule divided the country into three parts,India, East Pakistan and West Pakistan. After the decline of the Mughals others like Afghans, Balochis and Sikhs exercised control over large areas for quite a long time.
